Google (and LinkedIn) are Search Engines.
Even if this day and age of increased competition, you can still be found by search engines naturally (organic or free result).
You just need to know how to do it correctly!
The steps are really simple:
Define your targeted keywords (or keyword phrases, or long-tailed keyword phrases).
Insert those keywords into your site in the correct places. (LinkedIn for job seekers is, in fact, a one page Web site.)
Do things like content marketing to attract the search engines.
Keep doing content marketing until you rise up in the search engine results.
Repeat what works, again, and again, and again, etc.
“Mike has proven to have great insight and knowledge regarding the issues of SEO as it related to the re-launching of our website… Our new website is a far better result than if he had not assisted us from the get-go. His value was superior in guiding the overall direction, content and final result. Always thinking, and bringing new ideas and perspectives to the table. Cannot imagine having gone through the process of redesign and launch without his input.”

I first came in contact with Michael through the head of the SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) Chicago. As a result, I took his class at SCORE on getting more benefit from LInkedIn. After this class I found he was a wealth of knowledge not only on LinkedIn, but also on SEO in general and sales techniques.
As a result of his advice, I have come to close 2 major deals that I would not have closed without Michael's assistance. He showed me how to refine my sales skills to better close these deals.
He also showed me how to develop a better strategy to lead my India based SEO. They are good for tactics, but not so good for strategy. Unfortunately, I had relied upon them for both strategy and tactics. Michael showed me how to develop a strong strategy, including how to do more accurate keyword research, which was very beneficial to better guiding my SEO and getting more bang-for-the-buck from them.
