This is a slideshow from a WordPress 101 seminar I present covering:
Self-Administered Small Business Web Sites and/or Blogs: WordPress.com vs WordPress.org
I pose 4 questions and supply answers about WordPress for Small Business Web Sites and/or Blogs.
- What is WordPress?
- Why you should use WordPress for your small business Web site and/or blog?
- What is the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org for small business?
- What are some of the important features and differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org for small businesses?
WordPress was originally created and used as a Blog publishing program. Only within the past few years has it emerged to use as a general Web site with or without a blog (or post) page. One of the minor challenges is converting your landing page to a ‘static’ (or fixed) page. A static landing page is in my estimation better for search engine optimization for the self employed small business owners I deal with. Frankly, they are not interested in becoming professional bloggers.
